Il pr\u00e9voyait de tourner le film \u00e0 travers l\u2019Europe, notamment en <a target=\"_blank\" title=\"France\" href=\"https:\/\/www.begeek.fr\/france\" rel=\"noopener\">France<\/a>, au Royaume-Uni et en Roumanie, avec environ 40.000 soldats.\u00a0\u00c0 diff\u00e9rents stades, David Hemmings et Jack Nicholson devaient incarner le chef d\u2019\u00c9tat, qui a r\u00e9gn\u00e9 entre 1804 et 1814, et Audrey Hepburn devait jouer le r\u00f4le de sa femme Jos\u00e9phine.
